The essence of this unique city on the isthmus is exquisitely captured in nineteen large panoramic displays by renowned Wisconsin photographer Zane Williams. Williams’ photography boldly portrays the stunning visuals Madison offers, from the Capitol Dome and Monona Terrace to the cityscape and our vibrant community.
The exhibit is free and open to the public and can be viewed daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
LEVEL 6 – WILLIAM T. EVJUE ROOFTOP GARDENS
Art on the Rooftop
Art on the Rooftop is a free exhibit of public sculpture in the William T. Evjue Rooftop Gardens for the enjoyment of our visitors. What began as an outdoor pilot project in 2014 to help showcase the rooftop garden has become an annual “must see” Madison event, with artwork and artists changing each year.
The exhibit is open whenever the Rooftop Gardens are open and is free to the public.
LEVEL 4 – PROMENADE WEST
“The Wright Picture” Photo Exhibition
“The Wright Picture” is a unique exhibition of photographs taken during the last 20 years of Frank Lloyd Wright´s life by acclaimed architectural photographer, Pedro E. Guerrero. Guerrero’s career spanned seven decades, and he would become one of the most popular photographers of the Sixties “mad men” era.
The exhibit is free and open to the public and can be viewed daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
LEVEL 3 – GALLERY
Beyond the Drawing Board: The Journey of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Monona Terrace
Monona Terrace was one of Wright’s greatest design achievements, but bringing it to fruition was much more challenging. This informative gallery includes photos, videos, audio clips and artifacts, is free and open to the public, and is located on level 3 west below the Gift Shop on level 4.
The exhibit is free and open to the public and can be viewed daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
