Hoffman House Card Case

European automobile importer Max Hoffman commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to design several buildings including a home built in Rye, NY in 1957 and a showroom for his Jaguar dealership in New York City. This engraved design of floating, intersecting circles, edged with the Taliesin square logo, was adopted from the carpet design created for the living room of the Rye residence. Although not executed for the Hoffman House, it was later woven for the living room at Taliesin (1962), Wright's home in Spring Green, WI.
